Watchmakers United opens a new address in Monaco
A human adventure continuing its journey
Following the notable success of its Geneva boutique launched in January 2024, Watchmakers United announces the opening of a new boutique in Monaco, at the heart of a mature and highly discerning watch market. More than a geographical expansion, this new address represents a natural next step in an adventure that is, above all, human, born from a passion for independent watchmaking and a desire to create genuine connections between
creators and watch enthusiasts.
In Geneva, Watchmakers United has established itself as a lively, accessible destination, recognised for its welcoming spirit, openness and the strong community it has built. In just a few months, the collective has grown from 6 independent watchmakers to nearly 30 today, driven by a dense programme of meetings, events and direct exchanges between collectors and creators.
Watchmakers United: promoting a different and principled approach to watchmaking
Watchmakers United’s mission is clear: to give visibility to, and promote, a different, principled and creative form of watchmaking, accessible to all watch enthusiasts from seasoned collectors to newcomers eager to discover an alternative to mainstream offerings.
At the core of the project lies a strong conviction: fostering a genuine, direct relationship between the client and the creator. Watchmakers United boutiques are not traditional retail spaces, but living places where me is taken to understand the watches, the human stories behind them, and the technical and artistic choices that make each creation unique.
In Geneva, this philosophy comes to life through a constantly animated boutique, shaped by the regular presence of watchmakers and an especially rich events calendar. In Monaco, within a more inmate setting, Watchmakers United positions itself as a strategic relay for a local and international clientele that is highly knowledgeable, often saturated by the omnipresence of major luxury brands, and increasingly seeking a more personal, human and authentic approach. The Monaco boutique is conceived as a space for individual relationships, closely connected to the many events and encounters that will be organised throughout the year.
A unique, 100% independent selection
Watchmakers United stands out through a clear and uncompromising editorial choice: exclusively showcasing independent watchmakers and brands. The selection primarily features Swiss creators, while also highlighting surprising talents from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States and even Brazil offering a rare, international panorama of contemporary independent watchmaking.
The frequent presence of watchmakers in the boutique, the regular organisation of meet the-maker events and a particularly active events calendar in Monaco are integral parts of the experience. The Monaco boutique will also present exclusive pieces, a limited number of unique creations, as well as bespoke commissions, allowing certain clients to co-create their watch directly with the watchmaker.

“Opening in Monaco is an incredibly exciting step for Watchmakers United. It follows the success of our Geneva model, but also the three-day event we organised here last June with around ten independent watchmakers. Day a er day, we witnessed a growing local collectors’ community, driven by a real appetite for a different approach to watchmaking. With this boutique, we are offering a concrete response to that demand, one that is more
human, more direct and more authentic, built around an individual relationship between collector and watchmaker,” says Maximilien Roussel-Galle, CEO of Watchmakers United.
