Monaco Welcomes the Year of the Fire Horse with Chinese New Year Gala at Méridien Beach Plaza

Monaco is set to mark the arrival of the Year of the Fire Horse with a distinguished Chinese New Year Gala Evening on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM, hosted at the Hôtel Méridien Beach Plaza Monte-Carlo.

Organised by the Association Monaco-Chine and Monaco Dragon Prestige, with the support of Monaco’s Embassy in China, the event celebrates the start of the lunar year, which officially begins on February 17, 2026. In Chinese zodiac tradition, the Fire Horse symbolises energy, renewal, passion and forward momentum, reflecting the spirit of the evening’s programme.

Guests will enjoy a four-course gastronomic dinner curated by Chef Laurent Colin, offering refined interpretations of Asian culinary traditions presented through a contemporary fine-dining lens.

A central highlight of the evening will be an exclusive fashion show by AMC Haute Couture, blending modern luxury design with cultural heritage. The presentation aims to deliver a visual experience inspired by bold creativity, elegance and poetic expression.

The cultural programme will also feature live music, dance performances and a traditional lion dance, creating an immersive celebration of Chinese traditions. Adding a meaningful educational dimension, students learning Mandarin in the Principality will take part in the evening, reinforcing the spirit of cultural exchange between Monaco and China.

The gala is coordinated by Angela Petrulli of AMC Haute Couture and Xiaoqin Wang of the Association Monaco-Chine, continuing a long-standing commitment to fostering international dialogue and cultural understanding through art, fashion and gastronomy.
