Press Release Details

Summary

The Junior Economic Chamber of Monaco has announced its 2026 strategy, introducing a new student entrepreneurship programme, expanding public events and repositioning its mission around innovation, entrepreneurship and attractiveness.

The Junior Economic Chamber of Monaco (JCI Monaco) has unveiled its strategic roadmap for 2026, introducing new initiatives aimed at strengthening innovation, entrepreneurship and the Principality’s business attractiveness.

The announcement was made during a press conference led by Lucas Dubois, newly appointed President of JCI Monaco for 2026, alongside Julien Vivarelli, Vice-President for Entrepreneurship, and Luxmaan Sellappah, Vice-President for Attractiveness.

Monaco Junior Impact: A New Student Entrepreneurship Programme

The flagship addition to JCI Monaco’s 2026 agenda is Monaco Junior Impact, a four-month entrepreneurship programme designed for students of the International University of Monaco (IUM).

The initiative will pair student teams with business mentors to develop community-focused event projects within defined budgets. Teams will pitch their proposals to a professional jury in late April, with the winning project receiving full funding and operational support from JCI Monaco for delivery in June.

“The students will experience the entire entrepreneurial journey, from finding the idea to respecting a budget, finding the right partners to deliver the event, securing suitable venues, and then executing it on the day,” said Dubois.

Monaco Inspire Evolves in Its Third Edition

JCI Monaco also announced enhancements to its flagship conference, Monaco Inspire, which will return for its third edition in late November.

To improve accessibility, organisers will introduce morning-only tickets at a reduced price, targeting attendees primarily interested in keynote sessions. The programme will feature three keynote speakers, one-to-one booking opportunities with speakers throughout the day, and an afternoon agenda combining a pitch contest with optional professional workshops.

“We want to review the ticket prices to allow us to invite a broader range of people,” Dubois explained.

Three Strategic Pillars for 2026

The organisation confirmed a strategic repositioning around three core pillars:

  • Attractiveness

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Innovation

JCI Monaco has phased out its previous focus on personal development in order to strengthen innovation as “the voice of 18 to 40-year-olds” within Monaco’s business ecosystem.

Expanded Training and Public Engagement

Training programmes will now extend beyond entrepreneurs to include corporate employees, with a new emphasis on soft skills and professional development within the workplace.

The attractiveness pillar will deliver approximately 15 public events throughout the year, including four breakfast conferences with guest speakers. Despite the organisation’s age limit for membership, all events remain open to the public.

“There’s no age requirement for attending events,” confirmed Vivarelli.

Pitch Nights and Legacy Initiatives

JCI Monaco will also host three Pitch Night sessions in 2026, starting with a student-focused edition on March 18. These free events, held at JCI Monaco’s headquarters, provide a platform for entrepreneurs and students to present projects to mentors and professional audiences.

The organisation will continue its long-standing programmes, including the Business Creation Competition, now in its 31st year, and the Startup Meeting series.
