Monaco, February 3, 2026 – The Monegasque National Commission for UNESCO, in partnership with the Caroline Media Library and Sciences pour Tous 06, launches today “Parlons Sciences,” a new public lecture series designed to bring scientific expertise into direct dialogue with the public in the heart of the Principality.
The series opens this evening at the Caroline Media Library with an inaugural conference on astrophysics, The Mysteries of Black Holes, led by Dr Olivier Minazzoli, astrophysicist at the Côte d’Azur Observatory and Coordinator of Monaco’s Office for Space Affairs.
Conceived as a platform for accessibility, exchange and public engagement, “Parlons Sciences” creates a welcoming space where researchers, university lecturers and citizens meet to explore the major scientific, technological, environmental and societal issues shaping the modern world.
Each lecture is designed to be open to all audiences, requiring no specialist knowledge, and encourages participation through questions and discussion. The programme reflects a strong commitment to the democratisation of scientific knowledge, promoting critical thinking, curiosity and informed public dialogue.
The first semester programme spans a wide range of disciplines, including mathematics, geography, biology and medicine, highlighting the role of science in everyday life and public decision-making.
