Summary

Preparations for Monaco’s major 2026 motorsport events will begin at the end of February, with night works scheduled along Quai Albert-I and Boulevard Albert-I to install key race infrastructure.

The Automobile Club of Monaco (ACM) has confirmed that preparations for the Principality’s flagship 2026 motorsport events will commence in late February, with a series of scheduled night works along Quai Albert-I and Boulevard Albert-I.

The operations will support the staging of three major events on Monaco’s sporting calendar: the Monaco Historic Grand Prix in April, the Monaco E-Prix in May, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix in June.

To minimise disruption to daytime traffic, the majority of construction and installation works will be carried out during evening and night hours. The first phase—focused on assembling grandstands and modular structures—will take place over several nights between late February and March. Key sections of the port area and surrounding roads will be affected as essential race infrastructure is installed.

Following the events, additional night operations are planned for June and July to dismantle temporary facilities, including team garages, technical zones, hospitality spaces and spectator stands. These installations are critical to the safe and smooth running of Monaco’s internationally renowned race weekends.

The ACM emphasised that the careful scheduling of night works is designed to limit inconvenience for residents and road users while ensuring the Principality is fully prepared to host its world-class motorsport calendar.
