The Principality has officially launched a recruitment process to appoint four new référendaire magistrates, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining a strong, independent and efficient judicial system.
The announcement was made by the Direction des Services Judiciaires in accordance with Law No. 1.364, dated 16 November 2009, which governs the status and framework of the magistracy in Monaco. The full details of the competitive selection process — including the composition of the jury and the structure of the examinations — have been published in the Journal de Monaco on 20 February 2026.
Candidates wishing to apply must complete their registration by 20 March 2026. Following the close of applications, authorities will confirm the list of eligible candidates as well as the official examination dates.
The recruitment initiative reflects Monaco’s continued efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and ensure the effective administration of justice within the Principality. By expanding its judicial ranks, Monaco aims to uphold the highest standards of legal oversight and public service.
