Press Release Details

Summary

Douglas Elliman has entered France and Monaco through a new partnership with leading luxury brokers Philippe Curutchet, Fredrik Lilloe and Edward de Mallet Morgan. The expansion follows surging American demand for high-end Riviera real estate. With 14 offices planned, the firm strengthens its European presence ahead of further openings.

Douglas Elliman Realty has formally launched in France and Monaco, joining forces with leading luxury brokers Philippe Curutchet, Fredrik Lilloe and Edward de Mallet Morgan. The move marks the American firm’s first step into continental Europe, driven by rising US demand for Riviera and Monaco property.

Announced at the company’s annual sales event in Las Vegas, the partnership will see Elliman open 14 offices across the south of France, with further locations planned in Paris and the Alps. The expansion comes as high-end transactions surge on the Riviera, where properties above $5.85 million represented 30 percent of all sales in 2024.

Michael S. Liebowitz, President and CEO of Douglas Elliman Inc., said the alliance reflects the company’s ambition to build a global luxury network. The trio of European brokers bring long-standing expertise in ultra-prime markets, from high-record sales on the Côte d’Azur to discreet off-market deals worldwide.

Recent headline transactions include Manoir de Pigranel in Mougins, sold for $45 million, and Villa Aquila in Cannes for $42 million. Current listings range from Château Louis XIII in Cannes to a waterfront estate in Èze-sur-Mer.

The new partnership links American buyers to Europe’s most sought-after coastal and alpine addresses, while offering French and Monegasque clients direct access to major US markets. Further international openings are set to be announced in the coming months.
