Summary
The Princely Couple attended the 20th annual Christmas Ball at the Hôtel de Paris in Monaco, an evening under the High Patronage of Princess Charlène supporting children focused charitable initiatives through the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation.
The Empire Room of the Hôtel de Paris hosted Monaco’s annual Christmas Ball on Friday, December 12, welcoming the Princely Couple for one of the Principality’s most established charitable evenings.
Held for the 20th time, the event was organised under the High Patronage of Princess Charlène and continued its long standing focus on initiatives benefiting children. This year’s fundraising was driven by a Sotheby’s led auction, with the entirety of the proceeds directed to the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation. The funds will contribute to programmes dedicated to drowning prevention and to educational projects linked to sport.
During the evening, Princess Charlène received the newly introduced Monaco Star distinction, presented by event organiser Sandrine Knoell. The award acknowledges her enduring involvement in philanthropic action through the Foundation and represents the inaugural presentation by the International Action Committee of the Christmas Ball.
Through its combination of ceremony, social engagement and charitable purpose, the Christmas Ball once again confirmed its significance within Monaco’s calendar, reinforcing the Principality’s commitment to philanthropy in support of younger generations.
