Monte-Carlo hosted the gala night of the 48th International Circus Festival and the 13th New Generation programme, honouring world-class artists and emerging talents in front of the Princely Family.
Monte-Carlo, January 20, 2026 – The 48th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo, in conjunction with the 13th edition of New Generation, held a dazzling gala night under the iconic Chapiteau de Fontvieille, reaffirming Monaco’s position as the world capital of circus arts.
The event was attended by H.S.H. Prince Albert II and H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, accompanied by Louis and Marie Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb, reflecting the enduring bond between the Grimaldi family and the Festival founded by Prince Rainier III.
Following a week of spectacular performances, the most prestigious awards in circus arts were presented by the Princely Family to the following distinguished artists:
Clown d’Or Winners:

Flying Fuentes Gasca – breathtaking flying trapeze act marked by precision and daring.

Angelina Richter – elegant and powerful equestrian performance combining classical and contemporary artistry.
A historic first was achieved by the Troupe Acrobatique de Suining, awarded both a Clown d’Or in the main competition and the Golden Junior in the New Generation category, highlighting their exceptional skill across generations.
New Generation Programme
Dedicated to emerging circus artists, the New Generation segment continues to showcase innovation, creativity, and the evolution of circus disciplines, cementing the Festival’s role in nurturing the next generation of world-class performers.
