AS Monaco Face Lorient with Reduced Squad as Faes Set for Debut

AS Monaco approach Friday’s Ligue 1 fixture against FC Lorient with a significantly reduced squad, as the club manages a combination of suspensions, international call-ups, and injuries.

Defender Wout Faes, who joined the club on Tuesday, is expected to be included in the starting line-up amid the current shortage of available players.

Monaco will be without Thilo Kehrer, Mamadou Coulibaly, and Stanis Idumbo due to suspension, while Krépin Diatta and Lamine Camara remain on international duty with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Injuries have sidelined Lukas Hradecky, Christian Mawissa, Mohammed Salisu, Takumi Minamino, Pape Cabral, and Paul Pogba. The squad has also been affected by illness this week, further limiting selection options.
