The Vatican has confirmed that Pope Leo XIV will make an official one-day visit to the Principality of Monaco on 28 March 2026, marking the first papal visit to Monaco in modern history.

The visit will include an official reception at the Monaco Heliport followed by a private meeting with Prince Albert II at the Prince’s Palace. The Pope is also expected to deliver an address at the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate and visit the Chapelle Sainte-Dévote, a significant religious site dedicated to Monaco’s patron saint.

The historic visit will conclude with a public mass at Stade Louis II, where thousands of residents and visitors are expected to gather to attend the ceremony.
