Monaco’s National Council has approved the 2026 preliminary budget, setting a record with a projected surplus of over €8.8 million. The vote concluded the Council’s final public session of the year, with 15 councillors in favour, five opposed, and three abstentions.
The municipal budget will reach just over €113 million, up approximately 21%, reflecting increased funding for local services and major infrastructure projects. Key sectors benefiting from additional investment include social action, early childhood programs, senior services, and local animation initiatives.
Several high-profile projects are scheduled for 2026: the Exotic Garden reopening in March with free access for residents, the Espace Saint-Martin reopening in June, the launch of the Live by Léo Ferré concert hall in September, and the restructuring and extension of Villa Sauber in Larvotto.
