Press Release Details

Summary

Monaco implemented a three-part strategy at the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos, strengthening high-level investor dialogue, bilateral relations with Bahrain, and hosting Monaco Day, which welcomed nearly 500 international participants and global decision-makers.

Monaco deployed a comprehensive three-part strategy at the World Economic Forum in Davos, designed to foster high-value dialogue and consolidate strategic international relationships, according to Ludmilla Raconnat Le Goff, Delegate for Attractiveness to the Minister of State.

The programme ran from January 19 to 21, 2026, and culminated in Monaco Day, which attracted nearly 500 participants to the Monaco House, reinforcing the Principality’s position as a global platform for economic diplomacy, investment, and international cooperation.

Private Investor Dialogue
On Monday, January 19, Monaco hosted a private dinner in collaboration with Henley & Partners, bringing together entrepreneurial families and international advisors. The confidential format enabled in-depth discussions on long-term business strategies, investment opportunities, and international projects.

Bilateral Meeting with Bahrain
On Tuesday, January 20, Pierre-André Chiappori, Minister of Finance and Economy, and Ludmilla Raconnat Le Goff met with senior Bahraini officials, including Finance Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, and Mumtalakat Sovereign Fund CEO Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

Discussions focused on strengthening economic ties between Monaco and Bahrain, with particular emphasis on sustainable finance, investment collaboration, and international trade development.

Monaco Day at Davos
The highlight of the programme, Monaco Day, took place on Wednesday, January 21, welcoming approximately 500 participants and 30 international speakers. Organisers praised the quality and diversity of speakers, representing Monaco and multiple global regions.

The event was led by Raconnat Le Goff, supported by the Attractiveness Unit team, including institutional relations and communications contributions from Céline Deri. Monaco House served as a hospitality and dialogue hub, enabling continued exchanges between public and private sector leaders throughout the day.

Looking Ahead to 2027
Following the success of the 2026 edition, planning is already underway for Monaco’s presence at Davos in 2027, building on strengthened partnerships and a forward-looking vision for global economic challenges.

“This sequence at Davos illustrates our vision: deploying a demanding attractiveness strategy based on active economic diplomacy and solid partnerships, mobilising all institutional and private partners with the objective of making Monaco shine on the international stage,” said Ludmilla Raconnat Le Goff.
