Following the unforgettable performances of Le nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni, the Vienna Staatsoper returns to Monaco tonight with the final opera of Mozart’s famous da Ponte Trilogy, Così fan tutte.
Performed in a semi-staged concert version at the Grimaldi Forum, this sold-out event showcases the Wiener Staatsoper Orchestra alongside the company’s youthful soloists, combining musical excellence with fresh artistic interpretation.
Così fan tutte tells the story of two friends who test their fiancées’ fidelity, raising timeless questions about love, trust, and human nature. Mozart’s sublime score, coupled with Lorenzo da Ponte’s inventive libretto, offers a philosophical and musical journey that remains relevant today.
This concert performance is directed by Bogdan Roščić and commercially directed by Petra Bohuslav, presenting an engaging blend of Mozart’s genius and the Viennese opera tradition.
