Monaco Foundations Sign Agreement to Explore Planetary Health Projects

MONACO — September 25, 2026 — The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Gere Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding in Monaco to explore opportunities for cooperation in environmental protection and planetary health. The agreement was signed on September 19 by Romain Ciarlet, Vice-Chairman and CEO of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, and Ana Buitrago, President and CEO of the Gere Foundation, in the presence of Richard Gere. The memorandum provides a framework for the two organisations to identify areas of common interest and consider future initiatives. Potential cooperation includes sharing expertise and knowledge, promoting environmental projects and using the organisations' respective networks to support environmental action. The agreement was signed during celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. The two organisations said the partnership creates a basis for future collaboration rather than establishing a specific project or funding commitment at this stage.
