Full release text MONACO — December 22, 2026 — The Monaco Economic Board (MEB) has reported a record number of new company registrations in the Principality for 2026, with a 15% increase compared to the previous year. According to the MEB's year-end review, more than 1,200 new companies were registered in Monaco during 2026, with the strongest growth in financial technology, management consulting, and sustainable innovation sectors. The report also noted a rise in international entrepreneurs choosing Monaco as a base for European operations. The growth is attributed to Monaco's business-friendly regulatory environment, recent innovation incentives, and the success of programmes such as MonacoBoost, which supports early-stage startups. "These figures demonstrate that Monaco remains one of the most attractive business destinations in Europe," said the MEB's president. "Our economy is diversifying while retaining its core strengths." The full year-end economic review will be published in January 2027.
