Monaco Gala Raises €610,000 for Mediterranean Marine Conservation

MONACO — October 5, 2026 — A charity gala hosted by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation in Monaco has raised €610,000 for marine conservation. The 14th annual fundraiser brought together more than 60 philanthropists and environmental supporters at the Stelios Foundation Conference Hall. The event was organised in partnership with WWF International and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, with discussions focused on protecting marine ecosystems, the Pelagos Sanctuary and Marine Protected Areas across the Mediterranean. A charity auction contributed to the final fundraising total, with donations matched euro-for-euro by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation. The €610,000 raised will be divided equally between WWF International and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. The latest event brings the total amount generated by the annual fundraiser over its 14-year history to approximately €4.2 million. The initiative highlights Monaco's continuing role in supporting marine conservation and philanthropic action across the Mediterranean.
