British School of Monaco Launches Principality’s First IGCSE Programme
The school begins the 2026 academic year with a new internationally recognised qualification and continued enrolment growth.
MONACO — August 30, 2026 — The British School of Monaco has entered the new academic year with the launch of the Principality’s first International General Certificate of Secondary Education programme.
Founded in 2022, the school has grown from an initial seven pupils to 170 students for the 2026 academic year, supported by a teaching and administrative team of 70 staff members.
The introduction of the IGCSE programme represents another stage in the school’s gradual expansion of its British curriculum. The institution has added a new year group each academic year to allow students to progress through the programme.
The addition of Year 10 for the 2026 academic year marks the latest step in that development and gives students access to an internationally recognised qualification within the British education system.
The school currently provides education across Early Years, Primary, Secondary and its Individual Programme.
The continued expansion reflects growing demand for international education in Monaco and further diversifies the Principality’s educational offering.
