“De Toumaï à Sapiens” Exhibition Explores Human Origins in Monaco

MONACO — October 7, 2026 — The Musée d'Anthropologie Préhistorique de Monaco is presenting “De Toumaï à Sapiens”, a new temporary exhibition running through October 16, 2026. Founded by Prince Albert I, the museum offers a richly illustrated, educational and interactive exhibition that tells the story of the birth and evolution of Homo sapiens and the entire human lineage known as Hominins. The exhibition traces the journey of human beings through long migrations, from inventing tools and mastering fire to leaving the African cradle of humanity and eventually settling across the entire planet approximately 10,000 years ago. The experience is enriched by multimedia content including interviews, 3D views of prehistoric objects, quizzes and games, sharing scientific knowledge in an engaging and immersive way. The exhibition is open daily from 9am to 6pm at the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology in Monaco.
