Monaco-Based Venturi Space Unveils ALTA LUNA Lunar Rover

MONACO — September 9, 2026 — Monaco-based aerospace company Venturi Space has unveiled ALTA LUNA, a new tracked lunar utility vehicle designed for future operations on the Moon. Presented during the International Space Summit in Paris, the vehicle is designed as a compact single-seat platform capable of transporting astronauts and equipment around future lunar habitats. ALTA LUNA uses a tracked architecture intended to improve mobility across difficult lunar terrain and allow the vehicle to tackle steeper slopes than conventional wheeled designs. One of the vehicle's key features is an onboard system capable of monitoring an astronaut's health in real time. The system is designed to connect with the astronaut's spacesuit and provide mission-related health information. The vehicle can also assist with mission safety by monitoring environmental conditions and providing alerts, including warnings related to solar storms. Venturi Space says ALTA LUNA is intended to support practical activities around future lunar bases, including transportation, terrain preparation and construction-related operations. The project further highlights Monaco's growing presence in advanced aerospace and space technology.
