Monaco Marks Fifth Septembre Rouge Blood Cancer Awareness Campaign
The Prince's Palace turns red as Monaco renews its call for blood, platelet and bone marrow donation.
MONACO — September 5, 2026 — Monaco is marking the fifth edition of Septembre Rouge, an awareness campaign dedicated to blood cancers and donor recruitment.
The Prince's Palace was illuminated in red on September 1 to mark the beginning of the campaign.
Septembre Rouge seeks to improve public understanding of blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, while encouraging blood, platelet and bone marrow donation.
Bone marrow donation remains an important potential treatment option for eligible patients, making donor awareness a central part of the campaign.
Monaco's authorities are supporting the initiative as part of broader public health and prevention efforts.
The campaign will continue throughout September with a focus on information, awareness and encouraging members of the public to consider becoming donors.
