Monaco Partners with Leading European AI Firm to Develop Smart City Solutions
The new partnership will focus on AI-powered tools for traffic management, waste collection, and energy efficiency.

MONACO — October 29, 2026 — The Monaco Government has signed a strategic partnership with a leading European artificial intelligence firm to develop and deploy smart city solutions across the Principality.
The partnership will focus on AI-powered tools for traffic management, waste collection optimization, and energy efficiency in public buildings. Pilots will begin in early 2027 in the Monte Carlo and Fontvieille districts, with a goal of rolling out successful solutions across all districts by 2028.
The initiative forms a core part of Monaco's "Smart Principality" strategy, which aims to use data and technology to improve public services while reducing environmental impact.
"We are combining Monaco's unique urban environment with Europe's best AI expertise," said the Minister of Digital Affairs. "This partnership will make our city smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable."
The first pilot results are expected in mid-2027.
