Monaco Students Put Writing Skills to the Test in Annual Competition
Young writers from across the Principality take part in the 16th High School Writing Prize.
MONACO — September 7, 2026 — Students from schools across Monaco have taken part in the 16th High School Writing Prize, an annual competition designed to encourage young people to develop their writing and creative expression.
The competition provides students with an opportunity to put their language skills to the test while exploring ideas through written work.
Now in its 16th edition, the initiative forms part of Monaco's wider efforts to encourage literacy, creativity and cultural engagement among younger generations.
Students from across the Principality participated in the latest edition, with their work assessed as part of the annual competition.
The initiative also provides a platform for recognising talented young writers and encouraging students to continue developing their relationship with language and literature.
The competition is part of Monaco's educational and cultural programme as the Principality begins the new academic year.
