Monaco Telecom Expands International Footprint Through Malta Deal

MONACO — September 17, 2026 — Monaco Telecom is expanding its international footprint through an agreement involving its Maltese subsidiary Epic and telecommunications operator Melita. Under the agreement, Melita Limited will acquire 100 percent of Epic Communications Limited, combining Epic Malta’s mobile business with Melita’s fixed broadband operations. Monaco Telecom acquired Epic Malta in 2020 and has since developed the business into a major participant in Malta’s mobile telecommunications market. The transaction is intended to bring together mobile and fixed-line capabilities and create greater scale for investment in Malta’s telecommunications infrastructure. International operations have become increasingly important to Monaco Telecom Group, with activities outside Monaco now accounting for more than 60 percent of group revenues. The agreement represents another step in Monaco Telecom’s international development strategy while maintaining the company’s strong links to the Principality.
