Monaco to Host Council of Europe Ambassadors on September 2
Council of Europe Meeting in Monaco
MONACO — August 28, 2026 — Monaco will host the Permanent Representatives of all 46 Council of Europe member states on September 2 as part of the Principality's presidency of the organisation's Committee of Ministers.
The meeting will be the 1567th meeting of the Ministers' Deputies and will take place exceptionally in Monaco rather than at the Council of Europe's headquarters in Strasbourg.
The session will be held at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and will mark the return of the Committee to regular work following the summer break.
Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco's Government Counsellor and Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, will open the meeting in her capacity as Chair of the Committee of Ministers.
The meeting will be presided over by Gabriel Revel, Monaco's Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe.
Hosting the meeting in Monaco provides the Principality with an opportunity to welcome European diplomatic representatives while highlighting its role during its presidency of the Committee of Ministers.
