The new event will bring high-speed electric boat racing to the waters of Port Hercule.

MONACO — October 18, 2026 — Monaco has been selected to host the inaugural "Riviera E-Prix," a new international championship for electric racing boats, scheduled to take place in July 2027.
The event will feature teams from across Europe and North America competing in high-speed, zero-emission catamarans on a specially designed circuit within Port Hercule.
The Riviera E-Prix aims to promote sustainable marine technology and showcase the performance capabilities of electric propulsion systems. The race weekend will also include a public expo on the Quai Albert I, featuring the latest innovations in green boating and ocean conservation.
"We are thrilled to bring this cutting-edge competition to Monaco," said a spokesperson for the Monaco Yacht Club. "It aligns perfectly with our commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship."
Tickets and sponsorship packages will be available starting January 2027.
