Munegu Repair Café Returns to Monaco With Free Repair Workshop
Residents can bring portable household items for free repairs and practical advice on September 12.
MONACO — September 6, 2026 — The Municipality of Monaco will hold another edition of the Munegu Repair Café on September 12, offering residents a free opportunity to repair portable household objects instead of replacing them.
The event will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at A Casa d'i Soci in Monaco.
Volunteers will provide practical assistance with everyday items such as small household appliances, toys and other portable objects. Clothing and bags may also be repaired when the sewing specialist is available.
The initiative was launched by the Municipality in 2022 and has become a regular part of Monaco's environmental programme.
According to the Municipality, the Repair Café repaired or restored 170 objects during 2024, with an average of around 65 percent of items successfully repaired during each edition.
The project promotes the circular economy by encouraging residents to extend the useful life of their belongings, reduce waste and develop a culture of repair and reuse.
Access to the September 12 workshop is free, with residents encouraged to bring suitable portable objects that need repair.
