Thomas Pesquet to Discuss Future of Space Exploration in Monaco
The ESA astronaut will speak at Auditorium Rainier III on September 11.
MONACO — September 6, 2026 — Monaco will welcome European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Pesquet to the Principality on September 11 for a special conference on the future of space exploration.
Organised by the Monaco Méditerranée Foundation, the event will take place at Auditorium Rainier III at 6:30 p.m.
During the presentation, Pesquet will reflect on his missions aboard the International Space Station in 2017 and 2021 while discussing the development of future space missions and the next generation of human spaceflight.
The conference will also explore how scientific research conducted in orbit contributes to a better understanding of technology, Earth and the challenges associated with future exploration.
The event is part of the Monaco Méditerranée Foundation's programme of cultural and intellectual activities in the Principality.
The Foundation said the event provides an opportunity for audiences in Monaco to hear directly from one of Europe's most experienced astronauts about the changing landscape of space exploration.
