U Cavagnëtu Monegasque Picnic Set for September 19

U Cavagnëtu 2026

MONACO — August 28, 2026 — Monaco Town Hall has announced that the traditional Monegasque picnic, U Cavagnëtu, will return to Princess Antoinette Park on Saturday, September 19. The annual gathering will begin at 6 p.m. with a Mass held on the park’s multi-sports court, followed by a convivial evening featuring live music, entertainment and traditional local food including socca and fougasses. The event is reserved for Monegasque nationals and their spouses, with proof of identity required at the entrances. Free public transport will also be available for eligible attendees presenting a Monegasque identity card, while parking at the Jardin Exotique car park will be free under the same conditions. Preparations for the celebration will temporarily affect access to Princess Antoinette Park during the week surrounding the event. U Cavagnëtu remains one of Monaco’s distinctive annual traditions, providing an opportunity for members of the Monegasque community to gather and celebrate local heritage together.
